Staff Reporter | Bhopal

Alleging forced conversion, number of Hindu organisations’ activists created ruckus in a church of the Arera Colony on Sunday.

Incident started in the afternoon, when a middle-aged woman identified as Kunti found performing some rituals in the church premises.

As soon as the information reached the members of the Hindu organization, they barged inside charging the church authorities for forced conversion, cops added.

Meanwhile, cops of Habibganj police station too, reached the spot to pacify the the agitating activists.

Agitators were of the view that the concerned priest should be booked. The woman in question told the media that she visits church regularly and there is no such issue of conversion.

Later, the activists gave an application to the police to conduct an impartial probe in this regard.

Since there was no such evidence to substantiate the allegation and the woman as well denied from the charges, so far no case has been registered in this regard, cops added.
