Silver idol, Rs 35K cash stolen from TT Nagar

A silver idol and Rs 35000 cash were burgled from New Market under TT Nagar police station area on Monday.

Police said that the victim Bharatbhusan Pandey runs a shop near Hanuman mandir in TT Nagar area and when he reached to open shop on Tuesday locks were found broken and valuables were burgled. 

A complaint was lodged with the TT Nagar police in which he stated that he left the shop after locking it properly and when he returned on Tuesday to open the shop it was found burgled.       

Police suspects that the miscreants were aware of the whereabouts of the house owner.

The security guard would be questioned while the CCTV footages would be investigated to establish identity of the accused.

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further

investigation. Meanwhile, valuables worth Rs 60000 were burgled from Gaytri Vihar under Bagh Sewania police station area on Monday.

Police said that the victim Ajay Shankar Tiwari had gone for work and when he returned in the morning house was found burgled.

The victim approached Baghsewania police and lodged complaint stating that he works with National hospital and when he returned from night duty valuables were found burgled. 

Gold and silver jewelry and a cooking gas cylinder worth Rs 60000 were burgled claimed the victim.

After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
