9 buses gutted in fire at Khadgarha Bus Stand

A total of nine passenger buses parked at Khadgarha bus stand of Kantatoli under Lower Bazar police station area in the State Capital caught fire on Thursday evening.

Initially one bus caught fire after that another bus parked adjacent to the bus caught fire. After that a total of five buses caught fire in the first incident. Just after a few minutes four more buses parked at Khadgarha bus stand caught fire. Altogether 9 buses caught fire, in which 6 were completely burned. At the same time, 3 buses were saved from burning. Only some parts of these buses were burnt.

Around 1 o'clock in the afternoon five buses caught fire. The flames were so high that all the buses were burnt to ashes in no time. Due to this, there was a stampede in the entire Kantatoli bus stand. After which its information was given to the fire department. Two vehicles of the fire department tried to extinguish the fire after reaching the spot. The reasons for the fire in the buses are yet to be ascertained. With the help of the local people and the fire brigade, the fire was brought under control after a lot of effort.

At the moment, it is not known how the fire started. But, there is a possibility of some conspiracy behind this. However, no statement has come from the police in this regard yet. The loss of life and property in this accident has not been confirmed yet.

The buses parked at Khadgarha bus stand that caught fire are those of Nishant Travels, Maa Bhavani Travels, Radheshyam and LD Motors.
