The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declares final results of Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 to signify the termination of an extensive demanding selection process. The Indian Civil Services Examination started in September 2024 when the written portion began its assessment phase. The chosen candidates then experienced an extensive interview procedure from January through April 2025.

The UPSC has issued the comprehensive list with candidate recommendations for various civil services positions. The 1009 chosen candidates will take on the prestigious positions of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) and Group 'A' and 'B' Central Services.

Shakti Dubey occupies the first position in the UPSC Civil Services Examination with Harshita Goyal standing at second place and Dongre Archit Parag positioned at third. A consolidated 230-candidate reserve list exists according to Rule 20(4) and (5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules, 2024.

From the 1009 chosen candidates the General category has 335 members standing with 109 EWS candidates and 318 OBC candidates as well as 160 SC candidates and 87 ST candidates. The candidate selection includes forty-five individuals who fall under the benchmark disability category split into four disability types.

A total of 241 recommended candidates face provisional acceptance to the program and the result of one candidate remains under review. The government has reported 1129 vacancies to be filled across services with 50 designated for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

Based on service rules and available positions the services will conduct appointments. Candidates can access information through facilities supported by the UPSC both at their Facilitation Counter and official website.
