The BJP on Sunday organised a series of Tiranga Yatras across various constituencies in Delhi, commemorating the resounding success of Operation Sindoor against Pakistan. These rallies, led by senior BJP leaders and supported by thousands of workers and citizens, aimed to honour the bravery of Indian soldiers and strengthen national unity.
Delhi Minister of Art, Culture and Tourism and Karawal Nagar MLA Kapil Mishra led a “Vishal Tiranga Yatra” (Grand Tricolor Rally) in his constituency from Khajuri Chowk to Signature Bridge. The rally saw hundreds of citizens raising the tricolor and chanting patriotic slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” “Vande Mataram,” and “Jai Hind.” Delhi Minister Ashish Sood led a march in his Janakpuri Assembly constituency. For the third consecutive day, the BJP continued district-level Tiranga Yatras in Outer and North West Delhi. North West Delhi MP and BJP General Secretary Yogendra Chandolia, along with MPs Kamaljeet Sehrawat and Bansuri Swaraj, actively participated in these rallies across multiple assemblies including Matiala, Dwarka, New Delhi, and Karol Bagh. Former State President and MLA Satish Upadhyay, MLA Shikha Rai, and Olympian boxer Vijender Singh also led processions with thousands of BJP workers.
Speaking at the occasion, Mishra hailed Operation Sindoor as a historic achievement, marking the first time in global history that a nuclear-armed neighboring country was struck within its own territory. In a swift 90-minute operation, Indian forces destroyed 11 Pakistani airbases and eliminated over 100 terrorists, reinforcing India’s security.
“This rally pays tribute to the unparalleled valor and sacrifice of our soldiers who protect the nation’s borders. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism has been clearly demonstrated to the world,” said Mishra. He condemned Pakistan’s continued harboring of terrorism and warned that any threat to India would be met with a decisive response.
In another Tiranga Yatra, Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood spearheaded a prominent Shaurya Samman Yatra from Dabri Police Station to Kadimi Market in the Janakpuri Assembly Constituency. The event saw turnout from Residents’ Welfare Associations (RWAs), temple and gurdwara committees, market bodies, and social organisations, all united under the banner of Citizens for National Security.
Carrying the national flag high, participants raised loud slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” echoing through Janakpuri’s streets. In northwest tiranga rally, MP Yogendra Chandolia praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that the Operation Sindoor demonstrated India’s resolve to respond firmly to any terror threats. “The brave actions of our soldiers have sent a clear message to Pakistan that India will no longer tolerate aggression,” he said.
MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat reiterated that India now treats any firing from Pakistan as a terrorist act deserving a strong response. “The new India strives for peace but is fully prepared to eliminate terrorism at any cost,” she asserted.
In New Delhi rally, MP Bansuri Swaraj described Operation Sindoor as not just retaliation but a historic demonstration of New India’s strength. “This mission symbolises self-defence, justice and the restoration of national pride,” she said, praising the Prime Minister’s vision that India’s responses will be backed by unwavering resolve and courage.
In Malviya Nagar, former BJP State President Satish Upadhyay remarked that the Tiranga Yatras reflect national solidarity with the victims of terrorism and a collective commitment to intensify the fight against terror.
MLA Shikha Rai called the yatra an expression of gratitude towards soldiers who exhibited extraordinary courage during the operation.
