To significantly improve the district’s performance in revenue-related services, Collector Roshan Kumar Singh has directed officials to ensure time-bound disposal of cases under the Public Service Guarantee Act and set a target for the district to rank among the top three in Madhya Pradesh.
Chairing a review meeting of the Revenue Department on Thursday at the Collectorate’s conference hall, Singh emphasized the need for efficiency and accountability across all revenue functions. The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Pratham Kaushik, SDMs, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, and other revenue officials.
Singh instructed that there should be no delays in resolving partition, demarcation, and mutation cases. He also stressed prompt disposal of online cases submitted through the "Samadhan" platform. To minimize complaints during public hearings, he directed officials—from Patwaris to SDMs—to take proactive steps at their respective levels.
On revenue collection, officers were told to meet their targets, while land acquisition cases must be expedited through a focused campaign. The Collector reviewed closed CM Helpline complaints and expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of Makdon Tehsildar, instructing him to improve immediately.
Displeasure was also expressed over the poor handling of CS Monitor cases, with Deputy Collector Satyanarayan Soni being asked to enhance his performance. Singh flagged the current backlog of 169 pending public hearing cases and urged swift resolution. He further criticized the district’s 40th rank in revenue court case resolution and assigned ADM Pratham Kaushik to closely monitor progress in this area.
Stressing the importance of timely legal compliance, Singh ordered that responses to court matters be submitted without delay. He also reminded revenue officials of their responsibility to maintain law and order and to regularly inspect anganwadi centers, health institutions, and schools under their jurisdiction.
