The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), on Sunday, issued a public advisory after finding that some people misused its online system to get Health Trade Licences and pay conversion, parking, and registration charges — even in cases where such permissions are not allowed under the city’s rules, as per the advisory.
The civic agency stated that it has software application for issuing Health Trade License and receiving conversion, parking and registration charges. The civic agency said that the use of premise is regulated by the provisions of Master Plan-2021. Likewise, Health Trade Licences can be issued only in the premises where the activity is permissible as per Master Plan-2021.
It further said that, however, it has been noticed that some unscrupulous persons have misused the software application to pay conversion, parking and registration charges and downloaded receipt and also paid Health Trade Licences fee and downloaded it even though the conversion is not possible as per provisions of the Master Plan-2021 and Health Trade Licences cannot be issued because the activity is not permissible as per provisions of Master Plan. The MCD is taking action against such illegal acts.
In this context, public in general is hereby informed that whenever they are starting any new commercial activity in any area under the jurisdiction of MCD, they should verify the permissibility of the proposed activity from the website of the corporation or from the MCD office before depositing any conversion, parking and registration charges or Health Trade Licences charges, the MCD said in a statement.
“The general public is also advised not to fall prey to touts and fraudulent people who may misguide them about the provisions of Master Plan-2021 and abet the illegal activities. Recently, MCD has taken action against the commercial activities and the conversion charges paid by them have been forfeited and Health Trade Licences have also been cancelled,” it further added.
