Officers shirking duties should be sacked: Pyari

SR | Parlakhemundi

Late Biju Patnaik, who took the administration to the door steps of people, took a historical step and formed new districts. But the real aim was not achieved, said Rajya Sabha member Pyari Mohan Mohapatra at a public meeting at Kashinagar in Gajapati district on Sunday.

The aim could not be achieved because of the absence of officers from duty. He urged the people to unite and strongly oppose the Government officers bunking duties and reprimand them to be present at their workplace. Those officers abstaining from their duties on the sly will be dismissed from service.

He further said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and the ruling party BJD is trying to fulfill the dreams of Biju Patnaik. For this reason the party was elected for the third consecutive time. Revenue Minister SN Patro said the Chief Minister has strongly demanded before the Centre to include Gajapati district in the KBK districts.
