2 more bodies recovered from Puri beach

A day after two engineering students drowned while taking bath in the sea at the holy town, two more bodies were recovered, taking the toll to four on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as a local tourist Binod Sahu of Badamba Narsinghpur while another is said to be the student from Kalyani Government Engineering College in West Bengal.

Sahu had drowned while bathing in the sea in a separate incident while two out six students of West Bengal were dragged into the sea by string tidal waves on Saturday. Three others were rescued by the lifeguards but Ranjit Singh and Sai Om Daroi got drowned .

“We have received two bodies and one has been identified as a student of WB while another was a tourist from the State who drowned in a separate incident on Saturday,” said Inspector-in-charge of Marine PS.
