Naveen leaves for Delhi

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday left for New Delhi. He will meet the Chairman of the 13th Finance Commission Dr Bijay Kalkar and Urban Development Minister S Jaipal Reddy. During the meeting with the Finance Commission, he would demand more funds for the State, particularly for the KBK funds.

On November 4, he will attend a conference chaired by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. The meeting will mainly deal with the issue of giving land pattas to the tribals. The State Government has introduced a scheme of giving land pattas for tribals and 55,000 pattas have already been given in the last three months. Patnaik will be back in Bhubaneswar on November 5.
