Indo-polish Architecture Summit

Indo-Polish Architecture summit was organised recently at the MVN University. The presence and participation of the students and faculty members facilitated knowledge sharing with an architecturally rich European country- Poland. The cathedral design of Poland is famous and its exposure to the Indian students will enhance learning in this field. The informative-cum-interactive session on the theme Contemporary Architecture in Poland was graced by Aneta Swiecicka from Embassy of Poland, Delhi and Ar. Rajendra Kumar, dean of Savera University as its key note speakers. The civil engineering students got an opportunity to have a tete-a-tete with the key speakers.

Awareness programme

The Gate Academy has initiated an awareness programme called LakshyaGate. It is a pioneering endeavour through which the aspirants are made familiar with the opportunities beyond their BE/BTech.It is also intended to inspire confidence among engineering students and assists them in their preparation to crack the exam.

Elaborating on the initiative, Nitin Rakesh Prasad, co-founder, The Gate Academy said, “LakshyaGate as the name denotes is meant to equip students to be well prepared for their aim of cracking one of the most crucial exams of their career.”

English learning app

Leap Learning Solutions, a digital learning service provider and technology company, offering online English learning courses through their interactive portal, www.englishleap.com, has extended its offering to the mobile platform to impart English learning via its EnglishLeap app.

The app enables a user to improve his English in a fun and interactive manner, with the initial learning engagement across a range of vernacular languages in India.The focus is on grammar, reading and audio comprehension, vocabulary and pronunciations following the well-established European CEFR framework for language learning.

Speaking at the launch Saurabh Chopra, MD, Leap Learning Solutions said: “For mobile learning to be effective, it must be fun. Our app helps learners improve their English skills in an engaging manner.”celebration at orphanage

We Welfare Society an NGO by Neha Kala, celebrated 69th Independence Day with fervour at an orphanage for about 30 children. Singer Sameer Prasad joined the hands and entertained the children with his songs, he made them sing and played Antakshri.

The event ended with distributing kites.

Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj organised a felicitation ceremony 69th  Independence Day for meritorious students of Classes X and XII for the academic session of 2014-15.

These students brought laurels to the school with their excellent academic performance through discipline, dedication, perseverance and hard work. They initiated their journey of becoming global citizens as envisioned by Dr Augustine F Pinto Chairman, Ryan International Group of Institutions and MD Grace Pinto. The sub-divisional magistrate, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, Dr Sonal Swaroop  hosted the flag. Dance performances and scintillating display by the school rock band added colour to the function.

ASU organises 5-day orientation programme

The Apeejay Stya University (ASU) orgainsed a five-day orientation programme for the new students of the academic year 2015-16 amid an environment of learning and fun. The event witnessed many intellectual dignitaries including Prof Sudhanshu Trivedi, National Spokesperson of BJP.

On the first day of the event, the students witnessed a traditional welcome and were made familiar with the university’s campus. The students were contented with insightful inputs on the second day as the day was filled with some interesting sessions which began with the message of the Co-Founder & Chancellor of ASU, Sushma Paul Berlia.

“Education does not mean that one should acquire something. Rather, it is the way to dispel darkness so that one can let light of knowledge and wisdom enter oneself,” said Prof Trivedi. In the welcome address, Dr Pankaj Gupta, Vice Chancellor, ASU stated that instead of abhav (deprivation) and prabhav (influence), we should focus on svabhav (behaviour). He also talked about a broad multidisciplinary approach towards Education which is dedicatedly followed at Apeejay Stya University. A panel discussion on Nurturing Leadership and Talent for the 21st Century, moderated by Aditya Berlia, pro-chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, was  a highlight of the second day.
