Learnathon championship

The largest Learnathon of India — New India Student  Championship 2018 was organised recently by ICT Academy   and salesforce, bringing together 10,000 plus students  from 100 plus colleges across India for a 24 hours of self-learning programme on preparing themselves for the fourth generation  industrial revolution. The objective of the event was to take Skill India mission forward, supported by the outcome of the Digital India vision of the Government of India. The CEO, ICT  Academy, M Sivakumar, inaugurated the event at Kalasalingam University, Tamil Nadu in the presence of vice president  of  the Kalasalingam University Dr Shasi Anand.

While addressing the audience, Sivakumar said that this 24 hours continuous self-learning programme will help students  to skill up, discover career options, and get hands-on experience  for preparing the students for the next generation jobs.

Total 1,20,000 students  from 750 institutions all over India and 100 students of Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, deemed to be University Virudhunagar, join in this  learnathon who worked in salesforce in the systems in the computer laboratories.

After two days, result were announced and in national level, Phanindhar Reddy, from Centre for Science and Environment background won the first prize along with winner up shield whereas Bargave Sharma won the second prize and runner up shield. Kalasalingam University was also honoured with Outstanding Performance award. Dr D Devaraj, director and acadamics distributed the certificate and the shield to the students. Vice President Dr S Shasi Anand; vice chancellor Dr S Saravana Sankar, and registrar congratulated the winners. Dr D Amutha  Guka, HOD; S Kartheeswaran and Dr S Ramkumar coordinated the event.
