Naik inaugurates NDMC's AYUSH Holistic Centre

Underlining the importance of Yoga and natural treatment to the patients, who otherwise depend on pills to cure diseases, the Central Government Minister of State of AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik had said that Yoga was the God Gift, which had been originated and dedicated to the human being of the entire universe by our great seers and saints thousand of years ago. He was speaking after inaugurating the AYUSH Holistic Centre at Aurangzeb Lane in New Delhi on Tuesday. The centre has been set up by New Delhi Municipal Council. The Minister said that the Yoga does not provide only the natural treatment to the patients but it had also being adopted in the world wide as a symbol of peace, harmony and wellness of the mankind and connect our self with each other with a spirit of brotherhood, oneness and social integrity.


Delhi Tourism, Govt.of Delhi’s Calendar for this year, promoting locations for Film Shootings, was awarded as exceptionally creative publication (Crystal category) by Dilip Kamble, MOS for social Justice, Govt. of Maharashtra, during the annual Conclave of Public Relations Council of India (PRCI), at Pune on March 10, 2018. Sudhir Sobti, Chief Manager, PR/Publicity and Film Shooting Facilitation received the award on behalf of Delhi Tourism. The PRCI Annual Corporate Collateral Awards for corporate communications are presented annually to recognize talent and professional standards.

IGCCS conducts Discussion on ‘ understanding China’

India Global Centre for Chinese Studies (IGCCS) conducted a Panel Discussion on “Understanding China” successfully here at India International centre in Delhi. Many prominent speakers, diplomat social activist, Indo china relation experts and top govt. officials were participated in this panel discussion. IGCCS had a Meaningful and insightful discussion about India- China relationship. Prafull Ketkar, Editor Organiser and Prasoon Sharma, Director IGCCS said that ‘We need to understand China in more depth at three levels i.e. Government, society and Business’. A Ajay Kumar IFS, Director, International Solar Alliance Secretariat , Ministry of External Affairs and Gurjit Singh, Former Indian Ambassador to Germany told that Global diplomacy needs constructive contribution from India- China, but both countries have their own ambitions.

IOCL, tata motors launch Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd and Tata Motors Ltd. successfully launched the demonstration trials of India's 1st hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus. Dr R Chidambaram, Principal Scientific Adviser to Govt. of India in presence of Chairman & Board Members of Indian Oil flagged off the bus during the 47th Foundation Day Function of Indian Oil R&D on March 10, 2018 at Faridabad. The project is being executed under the partial financial support from DSIR and MNRE. Hydrogen is considered to be the fuel of the future and using the fuel cell technology, very high efficiencies can be achieved with water as the only component in the exhaust.


National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), the Navratna PSU, under Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India, has declared an interim dividend of 94 per cent, i.e.Rs 4.70 per share of Rs 5 each, amounting to Rs 908.48 crore for the financial year 2017-18, on the paid-up equity share capital of Rs 966.46 crore. This is the highest-ever dividend declared by the company since inception. Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Mines, Govt of India, was presented a cheque, amounting to Rs 546.95 crore as interim dividend, by Dr Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO, in the presence of Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary, Minister of State for Mines.

POWERGRID’s NR-1 office celebrates women’s day

The International Women’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm with the participation of large number of female & male employees of Regional Headquarter of Northern Region-1 at Katwaria Sarai, New Delhi Office of Power Grid Corporation of India on March 8, 2018. On this occasion a panel discussion was held on the topic “Why We Have Too Few Women Leaders”, wherein all the female employees shared their views wholeheartedly.


Women Employees of NBCC celebrated 3rd edition of International Women’s day on March 8, at Hotel Lalit in New Delhi. Eminent kathak dancers Kamalini Asthana and Nalini Asthana were there as Chief Guest of Honour, adding further significance to the event. Throughout the day a lot of engaging, fun and motivational activities were carried out, where women employees of the company participated with full spirit.

POWERGRID enters in term Loan facility with SBI

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has entered into a Term Loan facility agreement for Rs 5000 crore with State Bank of India (SBI) on Monday, for meeting capital expenditure for expansion/ renovation and setting up of various undergoing and new transmission & other projects in the company and in identified SPVs/JVs of the company.

XgenPlus empowers BSNL to host linguistic domains

The world’s first linguistic email service provider Data X Gen tied up with BSNL supporting .bharat in 15 Indian language domains. To provide Internet in local language and break the language barrier, The National Internet exchange of India (NIXI) started Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) in 15 Indian Languages; however it could not take off because there was no email solution available in the world to provide email on IDNs. Ajay Data, CEO, Data XGen said “We are excited to announce our partnership with BSNL. To empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more, the team has gone further to integrate local language email addresses across the email platforms, aiming to address linguistic barrier for the internet growth in India.” 

Vaduvur Team won the NLC India Invitation Cup

NLC India Invitation Cup Rural Kabaddi tournament was held at Neyveli from 8th to 10th March 2018. Twelve rural teams from various districts participated in the tournament. The four teams entered the Semi -finals. SAI- Mayiladuthurai, Vanavil-Perambalur, Nagapattinam, Vaduvur Sports Academy. In the finals, held between Vaduvur Sports Academy and Vanavil-Perambalur Kabaddi teams,Vaduvur defeated Vanavil-Perambalur and bagged the NLC India Invitation trophy .

BHEL secures Rs 736 Cr order for Steam Generators

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured a significant order worth Rs 736 crore for supply of Steam Generators from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limted (NPCIL). The order has been received against competitive bidding. The Steam Generators will be used for a 700 MWe Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor  to be installed at Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojna in Fatehabad district of Haryana. The Steam Generators will be manufactured at the Tiruchirappalli plant of BHEL. BHEL has been a pioneer in the design and development of Nuclear Steam Generators alongwith NPCIL and has so far supplied 38 Steam Generators for various Nuclear power installations in the country. Currently, BHEL manufactured Steam Turbine Generator sets contribute nearly half of the country’s total installed Nuclear power capacity.
