BJP MP Chandan Mitra on Friday demanded that the UPA Government bring back to the country the black money in foreign banks. Addressing a public meeting during the ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra’ organised by Delhi unit of BJP, Mitra said if the black money of Indians stashed abroad in tax havens comes back to India, it would immensely help in alleviating poverty and each village of this country will get Rs four crore.

“The downslide of Congress will be reflected in the elections to civic bodies, Delhi Assembly and Lok Sabha. The people of the country have rejected the Congress. The country now wants change and the BJP will bring this change. The UPA Government is the Government of scamsters. Now the CBI has also stated that 25 lakh crore rupees of black money are stashed in foreign banks. The Congress Government is not ready to bring back this money for the development of the country because this black money belongs to them who have ruled the country for 50 years.

To mislead the people, small players like Suresh Kalmadi were sent to jail. But according to the Shunglu Committee, CAG and other reports, top leaders of the Congress Party and Government are involved in CWG bungling and 2G spectrum scam. Due to this, the Congress Government is avoiding an impartial inquiry. When the BJP comes to power, it will put the people who have looted the country and stashed away black money in foreign banks, behind bars,” Mitra said during the yatra which has been launched ahead of the civic body polls to make Delhites aware of the Delhi Government’s utter failure in all sectors.

The seventh day of the yatra took the route from Sagarpur flyover till Najafgarh road and passed through five Assembly constituencies.

The BJP workers on motorcycles moved along with the rath. The rath being used by Gupta is considered very lucky for the party as it was used by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi during the Assembly elections in his State. Convenor of the Yatra Yogender Chandolia, BJP MLAs Jagdish Mukhi and Pradyuman Rajput, several sitting councillors and party office bearers were present on the occasion.

Vijender Gupta, president, Delhi BJP, said, “During the yatra, the BJP will cover all its districts in Delhi for preparing the citizens to remove the Congress Government which is responsible for corruption. I am carrying forward the Jan Sangharsh Rath Yatra for the purpose of exposing the evil deeds of the Delhi Government which is responsible for the people living in a horrible condition due to lack of basic amenities, price rise and corruption,” he said.
