The GMR Group-run airport has been ranked for quality of service in the five to 15 million passengers per annum category ahead of global contenders like Abu Dhabi, Geneva, Adelaide, Cape Town, Hamburg and London Luton Airports, GMR said in a statement here today.
While in 2010, the airport had scored 4.51 points overall, in 2011 it secured 4.57 points in the category, the statement said.
Year after year, RGIA had consistently raised its standards and has made significant progress since 2009 when the score was 4.44, it said.
The airport's foremost responsibility is to improve facilities for passengers and offer them a convenient and comfortable transit, said Vikram Jaisinghani, Chief Executive Officer of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd and operator of RGIA.
