TDP tightlipped over its alliance with BJP ahead of 2019 LS polls

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu’s meeting with the Prime Minister also assumes political significance against the backdrop of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Naidu hasn’t been happy with the Centre’s “indifferent” attitude towards meeting the State’s requirements despite its promises.

His party TDP joined the Opposition in Rajya Sabha to oppose the triple talaq Bill to queer the pitch for the ruling dispensation. Naidu said “not much politics was discussed” between him and Modi, and refrained from speaking on whether the TDP will continue its alliance with the BJP in 2019.
