United stun Bagan 2-1
Kolkata: United Sports Club dealt a big blow to Mohun Bagan’s title aspiration by notching up a 2-1 victory in their return leg I-League fixture at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan on Sunday. Kayne Vincent (16th) gave United SC the lead but Bagan hit back in three minutes, courtesy an Anwar Ali strike as both the teams made their intention clear early. But it was Deepak Mondal who produced a powerful right-footer from 30 yards that sealed Bagan’s fate as they registered the second successive I-League win this season against the same opponents.
