4 men including 3 information dept employees nabbed for eve-teasing

Dehradun police have arrested four persons, including three information department employees, on the charge of eve- teasing after the husband of the woman allegedly subjected to it lodged a complaint. The accused have been identified as Jagmohan Singh Chauhan of Raipur, Hari Singh Patwal of Nehru Colony, Anil Singh Rawat of Adarsh Colony, Raipur and Jagdish Singh of Ring Road, Ladpur, Raipur. The quartet was sent to Suddhowala jail after being produced in the court, said Raipur police station in-charge Pradeep Rana on Monday. Police sources said that all the four accused were reportedly drunk while they allegedly hurled lewd comments on the wife of the complainant.

Rana said that Jagmohan Singh Bisht, resident of Pithoragarh, who is the husband of the woman allegedly subjected to eve- teasing, had registered a complaint on Sunday evening. In the written complaint, Bisht said that the incident had happened when they had gone to the information department for some works. The complaint further stated that the persons sitting in the information department campus based in Raipur had   not just thrown obscene comments but had scuffled with the victim when the latter had protested.  

Acting on the complaint, a case under sections 354a/323 of IPC was registered against the accused in the Raipur police station on Monday. Team that was formed later    arrested the accused.
