Gaur himself cleaned the road, by brooming the road symbolically in order to encourage people for cleanliness and to bring them the importance of cleanliness. He termed garbage as a root of diseases and an obstacle in the development. Gaur requested the residents to take pledge to make the city garbage free and extend support to the Corporation.
The UAD Minister reiterated the importance of cleanliness during the special sanitation campaign run by the Municipal Corporation at Gandhi Market on Friday. He insisted the residents not to throw garbage on roads and drainage lines as it causes many diseases.
Several people’s representatives and thousands of residents took pledge to keep the city clean and also to encourage others for cleanliness. During the programme, Gaur said, “We can keep our city clean by cleaning our surroundings. This will keep us healthy and that would help our country to progress.”
Senior journalist Lajja Shankar Hardenia appreciated the work strategy of the UAD Minister and also requested the residents to bring awareness of cleanliness. Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Pharmacy Council Basant Gupta also requested the residents to get inspiration from the campaign and to extend support to keep the environment clean.
Member of Mayor-in-Council Narayan Singh Pal while addressing the importance of cleanliness also mentioned the significance of participation and awareness.
BMC Commissioner Manish Singh, Alderman Sanjay Kunwar, president of Gandhi Market Businessmen Association Narendra Jain along with BMC officials and a large number of local residents were also present.
