The three-day 64th Alami Tablighi Ijtema (International Islamic congregation) concluded here on Monday with the grand dua (culmunuous prayers) for the well being of the community, prosperity of the nation and peace and harmony across the world.

The dua was solemnised by Maulana Saad from the headquarters of the Tablighi Jamaat at New Delhi. In the prayers, divine blessings for peace, progress and unity of Muslim Ummah and mankind at large were sought.

Around 10 lakh people across the world participated in the three-day congregation considered to be the third biggest annual Islamic congregation after Haj pilgrimage and a meeting in Bangladesh.

Maulana Saad solicited from the Allah to forgive our sins, to overlook the mistakes and lethargies of the Ummah and end our life on dependence.

As soon as the dua started pin drop silence took place and the only voice that was heard except that of Maulana Saad was of Amen by the gathering.

He solemnised, “We are innocent and are guilty, show us the righteous path and inspire us so that we could follow the path of Prophet Mohammed. We have wandered and are nervous, we are victimised, show us the righteous path. Make us rich with the wealth of dependence,” he added.

Earlier, in the morning just after the Fajr Namaz Maulana Mushtaq delivered sermons. He laid emphasis on practicing Namaz regularly five times a day and said that Namaz is the strength of dependence and is light of the face. One who practices Namaz regularly gets success in both worlds and the ones who left it remain chump. There is no way for making human’s condition better except for finding out the reason that why he is in such condition. No community of the world could succeed unless and until there is Allah’s custom, he added.

During the Ijtema, world famous Islamic scholars like Moulana Saad-ul-Hasan, Moulana Ahmad Laat, and others delivered sermons on the life and practice of Prophet Mohammad and Islamic Shariat (law). They urged devotees to improve their lifestyle adopting the path shown by Prophet Mohammad and Islamic Shariat, which provides total life style.

Atique-ul-Islam, member of the organising committee said that around 10 lakh people, including about 20,000 Jamaats (groups) from all over the country and 300 delegates from more than 20 countries, including Thailand, Cambodia, Afghanistan, England, Australia, Russia, Poland, Indonesia, Malaysia, UAE, Iran, Canada, America, Sri Lanka and China participated in the Ijtema.

After the conclusion of dua, over 200 Jamaats left with a pledge through the length and breadth of the country and abroad to spread the religious message among those who have gone astray, to lead a life as ordained by Allah. They would be asked to follow the five tenets of Islam in the true sense of the word. They would work in the path of Allah for about one Chilla (40 days) to three Chillas to persuade their Muslim brethren to strike a perfect balance between materialism and spirituality while leading their lives.
