BHEL bags Skoch Award in Smart Governance

Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited Bhopal won the prestigious ‘Skoch Award’ in Smart Governance category for Integrated Cash Collection System at the mega event organised on September 8 and 9 in New Delhi under the theme of One Nation–One Platform focussing on new trends and various innovative digital initiatives under Digital India Programme towards recognising the best practices and models of governance for excellent and efficient implementation of  programme and service deliverables from  India’s foremost PSUs, GOI Ministries and various State Government departments.

In a simple programme held at Administrative Building BHEL Bhopal Executive Director DK Thakur felicitated SN Shrivastava DGM (IT) the awardee in presence of Sanjeev Gupta GM ( P&D, IT & SCR) and NP Sanodia HOD (ITS) on Monday.

Around more than 500 nominations received from various PSUs/ Nationalised Banks/Government/State Government Departments, BHEL’s project of Integrated Cash collection system was shortlisted for presentation and finally selected by the jury for the Award.

This is third time BHEL has been nominated for the award by the Skoch group. In the year 2012 and 2014 also Skoch Award has been given to BHEL Bhopal.

BHEL Bhopal Executive Director DK Thakur has praised Information Technology and services Division efforts for this commendable Award.

Skoch Group is a Delhi based consulting and charitable foundation and has instituted India’s highest independent civilian honours in the field of governance, finance, technology, economics and social sector.
