Gautam Nagar police foils dacoity; 5 held

Gautam Nagar police has nabbed five miscreants planning dacoity at Gol Ghera ground and recovered one pistol, one cartridge, three sharp edged weapons, seven mobile phones, chili powder, masks and two vehicles from their possession on Tuesday.

Police said that the acting on a tip off the accused were nabbed and recovered weapons and items which were meant for the crime. The five nabbed dacoits were identified as Vinod Bhilala (18), Arjun Jathav (19), Anand Pardi(18), Raj Pardi(18) and Lumraj Pardi (19).

The police have registered a case under Sections 399, 402 of the IPC and Section 25/27 of Arms Act.

Arjun and Vinod have stolen two mobile phones and `20,000 from Risaldar Colony and one mobile phone from JP Nagar. Vinod has stolen an scooter from Talaiya area. Crime records of the nabbed accused would be investigated in the further investigation.

Meanwhile, Ashoka Garden police have nabbed two miscreants involved in robberies and recovered two robbed gold chains and stolen motorbikes from their possession on Tuesday.

According to the police, acting on a tip off Akram Khan and Amir alias Chistirang were nabbed from 80 feet road and when they were asked regarding the motorbike they failed to provide details and confessed that the bike is stolen from Fatehgarh and was used in robberies.

During the investigation they confessed stealing of another motorbike as the neighbors have spotted them with earlier stolen bike. The second bike was stolen from Koh-e-Fiza on September 1, 2017. The accused committed robbery in Koh-e-Fiza and TT Nagar areas.

Akram is a watch list criminal of Aishbagh police station while Amir has been booked for more than a dozen robbery cases.
