Mercury Army Pvt Public School celebrates Children’s Day in style

| | Mhow | in Bhopal

Children are the key of success and development of the country as they would lead their country in a different and new technological way. They are adorable and shine same like the precious pearls. Children are the God gifts to their parents by the almighty. It is the perfect time for each one of us to stop and think about what we can do for these little angels in our lives.

Mercury Army Pvt Public School (MAPPS) celebrated Children’s day by calling the grandparents of the children. Young people need something stable to hang on to — a culture connection, a sense of their own past, a hope for their own future. We believe that there is nothing more happy or pleasurable to see than seeing your grandchild do well.

The programme began with a Ganesh vandana. Nursery class students performed two dances on the songs Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Man Jaao….. and Bum Bum Bole, Masti me Dole….. Thereafter, two games were played wherein the grandparent filled a bottle with water and the child ran and poured the water in a bucket. The game was enjoyed by both. Second game where the grandmother tied a sari on the grand child and the grandfather tied a turban on the grandchild. It was fun watching this game.

UKG children sang a song ‘Thank you grandpa thank you grandma’. After this, the grandparents were asked to play the ‘Brick game’, where the grandfather put the brick in front of the grandmother and she walked on them. Two bricks were provided.  Children were very happy to see their grandparents play this game.

LKG students performed a dance on the number Nani Teri Morni Ko Mor Le Gaye…Grandparents enjoyed watching this dance. Everybody was awestruck there. They were then asked to pick any object from the 10 objects we had kept and sing a song pertaining to the object. (jhumka, bangle, heart etc..) Prizes were also given to the grandparent whose dress was matching with their grandchild. We could a sparkle in the eyes of the grandparents when they saw their grandchild sing a song or dance.

This was a very unique way of celebrating children’s day. Our Principal Vibhavari Sheode feted the grandparents and spoke about the value of grandparents in a child’s life and how their blessings are important.
