Sai devotees from all over India and outside offered 1.8 lakh rudraksha here over the Sphatika Linga covered in a glass frame during the Rudraviseka performed at Dattatreya Sai Ashram on Maha Shivaratri here on Monday.

Chairman of Dattatreya Sai Trust Dwarika Mohan Mishra said Baba Bhairabanand Ji of an ashram near Jamunatri of the Himalayas before dying at the age of 108 years on December 9, 2011 had advised his disciple Mahayogi Ganeshnath Ji to offer 1.8 lakh Rudrakhyas over the Spatika Linga worshiped by him during Maha Shivaratri. Ganeshnath Maharaj preferred to shift the Spatika Linga of 60 kg weight to Dattatreya Sai Ashram at Dhenkanal. The Rudrakhyas were fetched from Kathamandu of Nepal.

Mishra said around 2,700 devotees from Bangalore, Cochin, Chennai, Guntur, Vizag, Kolkata, Punjab, Kanpur, Kashmir, Delhi and also from China reached Dhenkanal to participate in a national level Sai devotees conference.

One Chinese citizen Chenkhoi Yen said that though he was a Buddhist but he was converted to Christianity later. But seven years back, when he was in financial trouble, someone advised him to seek the blessing of Sai Baba of Siridi. From that day, he become his devotee and now is happy with worshiping Sai Baba.
