States should strengthen Centre’s hands: Hooda

With opposition to NCTC from non-Congress Chief Ministers, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday said no controversy should be made out of the issue, saying States should instead strengthen the Centre’s hands to fight terror.

“Terrorism is a national, international problem and not of just one State. I support the Central Government on this and no controversy should be made out of this. We have to fight terrorism together,” Hooda said when asked to comment on the opposition to NCTC.

Asked about the opposition to NCTC from non-Congress Chief Ministers, Hooda told reporters after the State cabinet meeting “I don’t know what their angle is but I am of the opinion that the Centre’s hands must be strengthened,” he said.
