Hry Construction Academy soon

Haryana Government on Wednesday decided to establish a State Building Construction Academy to impart training to workers engaged in this field.

The decision was taken in a review meeting of Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar here.

Additional Chief Secretary, Labour Department, Vijai Vardhan apprised Khattar that the State Academy would be established on the pattern on National Academy of Construction, Hyderabad, and Haryana would be the second state to have such academy.

He said that the academy would offer certificate courses of 76 days to registered workers in six trades such as masonry, bar binding, plumber, sanitation, electric wiring, floor and tiles, and painting and decoration.

The Chief Minister directed to start these courses at the earliest in any Industrial Training Institute or any other government building.
