While Chief Minister Arjun Munda is scheduled to leave for New York from Delhi with a five-member delegation on Saturday, the CM’s Principal Secretary, DK Tiwari, has already reached Canada.
The India Show-2011 will be held between October 17 and 23. The Jharkhand stall has been set up at a cost of `3.5 lakh over 36 sq m. Another `9.47 lakh has been spent on furnishing it, sources added. It will portray various facets of Jharkhand, including tribal artifacts, flora and fauna and the State’s rich mineral resources.
“The industry department has prepared three distribution brochures, while Jharcraft has another. CDs with a detailed description of the State and its industrial scenario will also be distributed,” said an official. “Since the show is aimed at promoting engineering product exports, the stall will portray the favourable environment in the State for setting up plants,” he added.
