ACJ to inaugurate training programme

Acting Chief Justice cum Executive Chairman of Jharkhand Legal Services Authority DN Patel will inaugurate a three day training programme of Para Lagal Volunteers at muli-purpose building located in the premises of Judge Colony in Ranchi.  The newly appointed Para Legal Volunteers will be trained as per the module of National Legal Services Authority.

Khare fiat on E-Hospital

Principal Secretary, Health today reviewed E-hospital project and instructed the officials to begin the service at the earliest. She said that in order to spread awareness on Online Registration System more and more IEC activities need to be organised. She said that by spreading awareness people will be able to know that they can get appointment from doctors through mobile phone or computer. RIMS Director in-charge RK Shrivastav said in the meeting that 17 computers have been bought at RIMS for E-Hospital services.

Leadership Training for teachers

Government has selected 96 government teachers to be part of the Parivartan Dal (transformation group) formed to improve the quality of education in the State by identifying and supporting best practices in teaching. Through this move, the government aims to empower teachers to take up a lead role in motivating other teachers and facilitate sharing of best practice. As one of the first steps, the Parivartan Dal of teachers is undergoing a special training conducted by the Sri Aurobindo Society under its project Zero Investment Innovations for Education Initiatives (ZIIEI), which is supported by HDFC bank. These teachers will not only come up with their own solutions, but also identify and promote such innovations across the state. 96 teachers of the Parivartan Dal formed by the Jharkhand government will undergo training by Sri Aurobindo Society on leadership and zero investment innovations to transform education in government schools.

Launch of LED vehicles

Ranchi DC,  Rai Mahimapat Ray launched a vehicle containing LED screens on Wednesday to create awareness among people about their voting rights for the upcoming mid-term elections in Silli. The vehicle was launched from Collectorate office by waving flags. Awareness about voting rights and VV PAT will be created by these LED vehicles in Silli, Sonahatu and Angada blocks of the district.

DPS students shine in NIFT exam

DPS students Shreyashi Dipti, Rashi Kumari and Aditi Sharma have cracked the NIFT entrance examination. Shreyashi Dipti secured 19th rank whereas Aditi Sharma and Rashi Kumari have got 1612 and 1592 ranks respectively. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducts NIFT entrance exam in order to shortlist aspirants for admission in design programmes offered by it. Principal Dr Ram Singh congratulated all these students and said that it is a matter of pride for the students and the success which they have brought will encourage other students as well.

Summer camp comes to an end

Various cultural programmes were held on the closing ceremony of summer camp organized by Oxford Public School, Ranchi. The summer camp took place from 11th to 16th May.  As many as 150 kids participated in the 6 day camp where they were taught cooking, cricket, badminton, basketball, dance and art. Raj Kishor Sharma, teacher of the institute, praised the kids’ performances and spoke about the benefits of summer camps as a great fun-learning experience for children. He also thanked all the faculty members who took active participation in the organization of the summer camp. C.C.A Incharge, A. Pratima along with many other guests was present at the ceremony.

TVS Motor revenue grows by 24.7%

TVS Motor Company on Wednesday reported its financial results for the year 2017-18. With total sales of 34.66 lakh units for the year, the company’s total revenue excluding Excise Duty / GST grew by 24.7 per cent to Rs.15129.66 crores. During the year, the company strengthened its presence in the motorcycle and scooter segments with launch of TVS Apache RR 310, TVS NTORQ 125 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and refreshed product portfolio.

Madhura Naik as Sri Lankan queen

Tenali Rama will now see the entry of actress Madhura Naik as the Sri Lankan Queen MoonMoon who promises to give extra dose of laughter to the viewers. The talented actress known for her pivotal roles in her previous shows will now be seen in a comic role. In the show, Queen MoonMoon will be visiting Raja Krishnadevraya (Manav Gohil) along with her husband King Dharampal.  Naik said, “I am very excited to play the role of Sri Lankan queen in the show and being part of a popular show like Tenali Rama. It is an interesting character, who has memory issues and she keeps forgetting her identity. The character will allow me to do comedy which I have wanted to explore for a very long time and the audience will be able to see different shades in my character throughout the show.”

LIC’s Sr Divisional Managers’ Conference

LIC of India’s 58th All India Sr.Divisional Managers’ Conference was held in Mumbai from 14th to 16th May 2018, wherein annual corporate strategies were deliberated upon. The conference was inaugurated with address by Chairman and Managing Directors of LIC India. 8 zonal heads , operational heads as well as divisional heads representing 113 divisions  across the country  participated in the in the deliberations for finalizing strategy on various aspects of marketing, customer service, information technology, HR, International Operations. LIC has registered a market share of 75.67% in number of policies and 69.40%in first year premium income for the year 2017-18 and achieved the highest ever first year premium income of Rs1,34,51.68 Crore.
