J’khand Bhawan in Mumbai, Puri soon

Jharkhand will soon have its own multi-purpose State Guest House at Mumbai and Puri.

Counting the achievements of 1000 days at a press conference at Suchna Bhawan, Building Construction Department Secretary KK Soan said that all district hospitals were being renovated to provide better facilities to the people.

“Land for the purpose has already been allotted by the respective State Government and has been transferred to us on a very reasonable price on which construction work will be started very soon. The idea is to have our own building in these states, which could be used for different purposes,” said Soan. Meanwhile, DPR for Jharkhand Bhawan in New Delhi has been finalized and construction was likely to be started by September end, he added.

“Estimate and design for the twin towers of Secretariat Building has also been obtained and consultation with all the departments is being done seeking their suggestions so that changes could be made as per their requirement,” Soan said. We have also taken up the construction work of 400 houses for the people who will be displaced in Dhurwa, he added.

“In addition, dilapidated government buildings like district hospitals, Zila Schools, Block buildings etc, were also being taken up for renovation by the Building Construction Department,” said Soan.

“This year, residential schools run by Welfare Department are being taken up for renovation to strengthen the facilities in those schools,” said Soan.

Referring to the environmental clearance not taken so far for Core Capital and Jharkhand Bhawan, he said that the notification by Government of India was issued in March 2017, while the map for the same had been passed before that.

“Six months’ time had been given to get the environmental clearance, and an application for the same has already been made in this regard,” he said.

Soan also said that renovation work was also in progress at the State Guest House Ranchi involving Rs 2.35 crore to develop the infrastructure in Jharkhand.

Briefing about the achievements of Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation Limited, Managing Director Sunil Kumar said that construction work for the three medical colleges in Dumka, Palamu and Hazaribagh was likely to be completed by December 2018.

“DPR for the three more Medical Colleges at Bokaro, Koderma and Chaibasa has also been submitted having 500 beds state-of-the art hospitals with it,” said the MD. 500-bed hospitals to each of the three under construction Medical Colleges at Hazaribagh, Palamu and Dumka will also be given along with Jamshedpur already having one Medical College, he added.

Kumar further said that Raksha Shakti University will be constructed at Torpa in Khunti involving Rs 220 crore on 75 acres of land.

“World known consultants having their projects in 20-25 other countries has been engaged for preparing DPRs so that quality of these buildings could be maintained,’ said the MD. Monitoring will also be done by the third party to check the quality of construction in these buildings, he added.

“Besides, some other projects like developing Patratu, temple complex at Rajrappa, Sutiambe in Pithoria near Ranchi, and Ulihatu are also under progress,” he added.
