State police to launch a month-long cleanliness drive at various levels of dept

Keeping in view the new State Government’s priority, the State police are all set to launch a month- long cleanliness drive at various levels of the police department. Informing this,  the State additional DGP (administration) Ashok Kumar said on Monday  that  the district police chiefs have been directed to carry out inspections at police stations, police posts, offices, battalions, barracks and residential campuses to  ensure cleanliness. 

He further said that written guidelines have been issued to the district police chiefs to launch cleanliness drives in their jurisdictional limits.

“The drives to be  launched in barracks, toilets, drainage system and quarters would go a long way in  improving the living condition of the  police personnel,” he  said. 

 The police officers have been directed to identity the places in their jurisdictional limits where  the  cleanliness drives should be launched. “Sanitation workers would also be involved for the same,” he said.

He also stressed on steps being taken to dispose the seized items in the police stations concerned after the legal formalities are completed.
