BRITAIN'S FIRST PREGNANT MAN GIVES BIRTH TO GIRL
Britain’s first pregnant man has given birth to a girl.
Hayden Cross, 21, made headlines around the world when he announced he was pregnant by a sperm donor, three years after becoming legally male through gender reassignment.
He put his transition on hold to have a child.
His daughter Trinity-Leigh was born by caesarean on last month, his family confirmed. It makes Cross, from Gloucester, the first transgender to give birth in the UK.
“She’s perfect in every way,” he said.
Following the birth, Cross now plans to return to complete his gender realignment as soon as possible.
The proud father was born a girl named Paige, 21 years ago.
Cross, from Gloucester, had said earlier, “I faced the prospect of not becoming the man I’m supposed to be, physically, or a dad. So I didn’t feel like I had any choice but to have a baby now then get back to transitioning.”
“In September I got pregnant by a sperm donation. I found the donor on the internet. I looked on Facebook for a group and found one — it’s been shut down now. I didn’t have to pay,” Cross had said.
Cross, who used to work for Asda and in a clothes shop, aims to find a job once the baby is aged one.
Gender transition treatment costs the NHS on average £29,000 per patient.
Thomas Beatie became the first man to give birth in the US in 2008.
Born a woman, he had a partial sex change but kept his womb and was able to conceive.
GIANT PANDA WHO KEEPS FALLING OFF TREES
Hilarious footage of a giant panda working on his climbing skills is currently keeping the Internet highly entertained. Last week, the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington DC, US posted a compilation of Bei Bei, an adorable two-year-old panda, falling out of trees at the zoo’s panda house. Not to worry, though, because the zoo says pandas are “adept” climbers and often “climb and fall during play sessions.” The Internet immediately gave Bei Bei an “A for effort.”
“Bei Bei is working on his dismounts out of the trees,” writes the zoo in a caption accompanying the short video. “Pandas are adept climbers and will climb and fall during play sessions.” Bei Bei is a bit of a daredevil. “Although eating and sleeping are still his favourite pastimes, the giant panda cub loves to climb trees,” explains the zoo. “Lately, he has been climbing trees in his yard and sliding all the way down...Bei Bei has broken several branches in the process, much to the dismay of the zoo’s horticulturalists.”
Since Friday, the video has been ‘liked’ over 7,800 times and retweeted over 3,800 times.
It’s making a lot of people laugh!

TEENAGER WOKEN UP BY BEAR 'CRUNCHING' ON HIS HEAD
A teenager has had a lucky escape from a bear attack after waking to find the animal biting his head.
The 19-year-old had been working at a camp in Colorado and had been sleeping outside Glacier View Ranch, about 48 miles northwest of Denver.
He woke up at 4 am last Sunday to a “crunching sound” and found the bear’s jaws digging into his head as the animal trying to drag him out of his sleeping bag.
The boy fought back, punching and hitting the animal as his colleagues woke up, realised what was happening and also tried to deter the bear.
Eventually, the animal gave up and walked away.
The boy, identified only as Dylan, was treated in hospital.
Dylan teaches wilderness survival at the camp and, while his 12 and 13-year-old students had been asleep nearby, none of them were hurt. He said he thought the bear had dragged him between 10 and 12 feet before he was able to escape.
“The crunching noise, I guess, was the teeth scraping against the skull as it dug in,” he said, adding that “I just started hitting the bear as hard as I could. And I found its eye, and I started poking its eye with my fingers.
“I feel really lucky — if I would have been turned any other direction, it could have gotten the side of my face or my neck.” Traps have been set for the bear and wildlife officers will also use dogs to search for it.
Any bear caught is likely to be euthanised before being tested to see if it is the culprit, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokeswoman Jennifer Churchill.
COUPLE HAVING SEX IN A PARTY SHOT AT BY POLICE
Two people having sex dressed as the Joker and Harley Quinn were shot at by police during a raid on a swingers’ party. Victorian bartender Dale Ewins, 35, remains in hospital after he and his partner Zita Sukys, 37, were fired upon by a critical response team which stormed the Inflation nightclub. Witnesses say Joker was empty-handed when shot.
Officers opened fire after they confronted the couple as they were engaged in a sex act on a couch in the King Street club. Police claim Ewin was pointing a gun at the officers but management and staff at the nightclub said the man was not holding a weapon and was attempting to pull his pants up when he was shot.
