The ECI has consented to the proposal for relocation of 9 booths in Palamu's Panki assembly constituency where voting is slated for May 20 which is the day and date of polling for the Chatra lok sabha constituency.
The relocations of 9 booths is all for the reasons of naxal atrocities and security concerns.
Nodal officer of the Karmik Koshaang Kundan Kumar who is additional collector Palamu has confirmed the ECI's consent to relocate 9 booths in Panki assembly constituency.
Booths of Aapti, Bihra, Baghmeri Jiru, Hotai, Bhavardah, Gogad, Aabun, Garihara and Kekargarh have been relocated at a much conducive location in the larger interest of the polling parties and accompanying security forces along with the voters.
Except for the Aabun booth which has been relocated at Jinjo which is 9 kms all other 8 booths on their relocations fall between 2 to 4 kms of range.
