Bhopal is the best place in the country for the shooting of Hindi movies, the atmosphere, scenic beauty blended with chummy Hindi speaking people makes it most suitable for film making, said noted Bollywood filmmaker Prakash Jha while talking to the mediapersons here on Monday.
Jha was addressing the media in the State capital with the star cast of his film ‘Satyagrah’ starring superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Vajpayee, Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Rao.
Jha who is shooting his fourth film in a row in the city of lakes was all praise for the city and its people said, “I am in so much love with the Bhopal that I may go native of it, as far as shooting of films is concerned I will continue to shoot films here,” Jha added.
Amitabh Bachchan said, “It is not that because I am the son in law of the city, but I like the city and the people very much, the people are so much social and jolly and the atmosphere here is so much cooperative that I enjoy working here.”To a query whether he approves Narendra Modi as prime ministerial candidate, Bachhan, who is brand ambassador of Gujarat tourism, shirked the question stating that Modi is not his subject.
Kareena Kapoor, the Begum of Bhopal said that she liked the city very much but she told that she missed Saif. After the shooting completes, she would definitely visit Saif relatives here who are very keen to see her, she told.
“I agree with Jha, no doubt Bhopal is the best place to shoot for a film, the cooperation of the administration and the people we get here is not seen anywhere else. The city is very beautiful that provides enormous atmosphere to shoot,” Ajay Devgn said.
Arjun Rampal also stated that he liked Bhopal. “Every time I come here I get fit, lovely people, beautiful city, I would love to come here again and again,” he added.
Amrita Rao said, “2013 has become special for me due to my back to back shoot in Bhopal, first I shot for Singh Sahib the great with Sunny Deol and now I am working with Prakash Jha. Bhopal would always remain special for me.”
