Benefits for land-holders in Kapildhara scheme

Persons holding from one to two and half acre land will get joint benefit of well-farm pond in Kapildhara sub scheme of Mahatma Gandhi NAREGA. Additional Chief Secretary, rural development, RS Julania has issued directives in this regard to all district collectors and chief executive officers, district panchayat.

Selection of beneficiaries will be made on priority basis. The first priority will be given to widow, divorced woman, and after scheduled caste/scheduled tribe and other land holders for granting benefit under the scheme. land holders having irrigation equipment will not get benefit under the scheme. Farm pond will be made of water conservation capacity of 400 cubic meters.

The dug soil collected in digging farm pond and well will be used in farm leveling and boundary embankment. Well construction will be spherical with a diameter of 5 meter and depth of 12 meter. Beneficiary will be free to deepen within the cost limit. Beneficiary can use boring machine from the fund allotted material for well construction. RRC construction will be made for boundary wall of well after digging. The width of well should be 30-40 cm and 75 cm height.

Beneficiary will get benefit of farm pond with Kapildhara well. Farm pond will be constructed on upper side of farm and well at lower side of the farm so that water flowing from farm pond can gather in the well. Pipe will be installed from farm pond to well for water flow and have to be filtered with boulders and sand. The place for installation will be selected on the beneficiary's choice. Help of geologist can be taken in this regard.  Beneficiary can be agency for well and farm pond construction. If beneficiary is member of livelihood mission group, he will be agency of the group. Gram panchayat will be construction agency in other cases.

The cost of well, farm pond construction has been fixed Rs 2.30 lakh. Rs 1.15 lakh will be spent on labour and Rs 1.15 lakh on material. Beneficiary will work of mate in Kapildhara well. Muster rolls will be issued for payment of labour and the cost of material will be deposited directly in beneficiary's account.
