Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has congratulated the Madhya Pradesh police officers and jawans for killing eight suspected members of the banned Students Islamic Federation of India (SIMI) in an encounter on Monday, hours after they escaped from a high-security jail in Bhopal.
Madhya Pradesh BJP president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan in a statement here on Monday said, “The BJP governments of the central and state led by Prime Minister led Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan are not going to tolerate any kind of terrorism.”
Chouhan further said that the SIMI members escaped from Bhopal jail after cruelly murdering one head constable but out security forces gave befitting reply to their cowardly act.
Chief Minister Chouhan and Home Minister Bhupendra Singh immediately came into action after the incident of jailbreak and continuously monitored the developments besides issuing instructions to nab the runaway culprits at any cost. The CM and the HM did not even slept for two minutes after hearing the news of jailbreak, he added.
The senior BJP leader said that the security forces showed courage and heroism and killed all the runaway terrorists within hours of their escape preventing some barbaric incidence by these terrorists.
Saluting all the officers and Jawans of the security forces the BJP state president congratulated chief minister Chouhan and home minister Singh for the carefulness of the government over the issue.
Chouhan expressed profound grief over the martyr constable in the SIMI activists attack and assured the family members of the martyr Jawan that the government would take care of them. The bereaved family should not consider itself alone as the BJP standby with it, honoring the sacrificial tradition is our pride, he added.
