Taking potshots at the State Government over the alleged irregularities by the Odisha Knowledge Corporation limited (OKCl), the BJP on Friday demanded that the Government clarify under which department comes the accreditation of the new OKCl-sponsored OS-CIT computer course.
BJP State vice-president Sameer Mohanty alleged, “The State Government had spent the Centre’s fund meant for computer education of around 4,000 school students through the OKCl. later, the OKCl handed over the responsibility to another private firm IlFS. large scale irregularities had been found in various ways ranging from construction of computer labs in schools to appointment of teachers.”
In anther phase, PF money of the teachers appointed by the IlFS was deposited in the name of another private company named MKCl raising eyebrows at the functioning of the OKCl and the IlFS, Mohanty added.
Hence, besides clarifying on the accreditation of the OS-CIT, the State Government should ensure that the OKCl would not implicate the chit fund fraud while brining the OS-CIT course and applicants would not be victimised by fake or worthless certificate, Mohanty stated.
