Sahu's Odia novel 'Kuhukara Mahaka' released in R'gada

Kuhukara Mahaka, an Odia novel for adolescent school going students, was released on the 4th day of Pallishri Mela and Book Fair in Rayagada.

The author of the book, Dwiti Chandra Sahu, who is a regular columnist, is presently working as a teacher at the Bhakuraguda High School.

Dwiti has written several short stories, poems, features, research based articles on tribals and children literature, etc. His book on Saura tribe has been appreciated by various quarters. His Adekha Bhabisya, an anthology of short stories, has been liked by scores of readers. Another book, Apahruta Sanglapa, is also very popular among readers. Kuhukara Mahaka has been published by Pratiphalana Prakashani, which is a local publishing house from Rayagada.

Veteran Sarvodaya leader Dr Ratan Das, Jamnalal Bajaj Awardee Shanti Devi, historian and archivist Sriranga Nayak, Sub-Collector Muralidhar Swain, ADM laxmikanta Behera, Collector Jagannath Mohanty and writer Satya Narayan Gantayat were present.

Odisha Sahitya Akademi member Sushanta Nayak coordinated the programme while famous actor-director Narendra Mishra and Baby Rani Nanda moderated it.
