Wednesday, 26 September 2018 | PNS | New Delhi

The Impact Week, a non-profit programme by Lufthansa Airlines which unites people to develop sustainable business models using Design Thinking, will be held at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, University of Delhi from October 8 to 11, 2018. The programme helps the company employees into Design Thinking Coaches, equipping them with innovative ways of problem-solving. This six-day programme helps participants find, test and develop business ideas through a series of training workshops. The training is conducted in groups, where participating students form a team of five to seven people each with a total of 24 to 25 teams compete against each other. The training begins with a simple learning of principles of Design Thinking which is a proven innovation method by national and international coaches to tackle challenges in a variety of fields. This is followed by building of prototypes for the identified potential customers and their problems. The last day is meant for awards basis the three-minute pitch that the teams make in front of an international jury. In the end the jury announces five winning teams that receive prize money of 50,000 Euro and get access to the incubator. The programme also prepares and motivates students to engage in entrepreneurship and gives them platform to start their own business and find their role in the society.
