CH SS MALLIKARJUNA RAO JOINS ALLAHABAD BANK AS MD & CEO

CH SS Mallikarjuna Rao has joined on September 19, 2018 as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Allahabad Bank, one of the premier Nationalised Banks of the country with 154 years of service to the nation.

Prior to joining the Bank, he served as Executive Director of Syndicate Bank. He has been a professional banker for over 33 years having held position as General Manager & CFO in Oriental Bank of Commerce and also as Assistant Vice President in erstwhile Global Trust Bank. He started his career in 1985 as a Probationary Officer in Bank of Maharashtra and headed various positions thereat . After joining Oriental Bank of Commerce he served as Regional Head & also as General Manager in charge of various departments of the Bank. He has vast exposure in Credit, Recovery, Treasury, Risk Management, Information Technology, Management Information System, Retail Banking, Marketing, Publicity & Alternative Delivery Channels.

Tata Power-DDL install RO water plant in school

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) has installed its 36th RO Water plant at Government Boys Senior Secondary School No. 1 at Shakti Nagar as part of its initiative to provide clean drinking water in Delhi Government Schools across its area of operation in North Delhi. The plant was inaugurated on the occasion of the school’s Alumni Meet by Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Banga, CEO, TATA Power-DDL, in the presence of Akhilesh Pati Tipathi, MLA (Model Town), Delhi and other dignitaries, along with the officials of TATA Power DDL, Principals, Teachers, students and hundreds of alumni members of the School. The RO plant has a capacity to purify and dispense 500 litres of water every hour and would provide potable water to around 5000 students, teachers and non-teaching staff every day. The students are encouraged to carry drinking water of RO Plant for their family/house hold use also.
