The announcement of the Class X results by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) brought laurels to 16-year-old Diti Grover and her family as the Board declared that she is one among the two Delhi toppers. Both Delhi toppers have scored 495 out of total 500.
Grover, student of St. Thomas Girls Senior Secondary School, Mandir Marg, belongs to a business family but wants to join Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and change common people perspective towards Governments. The other Delhi topper is Bhaweesh Sharma of Kulachi Hansraj Model School Ashok Vihar.
"The people are very cynical in their outlook and there is a common tendency to blame Government and authorities for each and every thing. The Government alone is not responsible for everything. This perspective needs to be changed," said Grover.
Grover said she has never studied more than 6 hours in a day and she is a "foodie" and loves eating a lot. "I was not expecting the result. I want to study economics and become an IAS officer in my life. In Class XII, I will study humanities and mathematics," she said.
