General Director of Russian Export Center JSC Andrey Slepnev said in his speech on the plenary session “Russia – India: from Perspectives to Real Projects” conductioned of the Russia-India Business Summit.
The Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Oleg Ryazantsev, General Director of Russian Export Center JSC Andrey Slepnev, representatives of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, RZD International in India, Srei Finance, Sinara–Transport Machines, Intelligent Security Systems, Heavy Electric Corporation, TNG Group and Salvia Travel made presentations during the event plenary session “Russia – India: from Perspectives to Real Projects”.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Oleg Ryazantsev noted that leaders of two countries “set an ambitious task to increase the trade volume to USD 30 bln and the volume of mutual investments to USD 15 bln from each side by 2025.
Participants of the panel discussed the current situation of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and India, perspectives of entry of Russian companies into the Indian market and possible solutions to strengthen the ties between two countries.
According to him, in 2017 the trade volume between Russia and India grew by 21% to USD 9.4 bln. We also saw growth in the Russian export – to USD 6.5 bln and import from India – to USD 2.9 bln.
Andrey Slepnev also mentioned that REC opens a representative office in India that will support active cooperation of the Russian export-oriented business with potential partners in India. The opening of the representative office will allow to pay special attention to the growth of export into this country.

The business mission of the Russian Export Center is arranged to coincide with the visit of the Russian Federation President V.V. Putin and conduction of the Russia-India Business Summit.
