Saturday, 13 October 2018 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

One man allegedly killed another at Bharat Nagar in a “fit of rage” after the latter brought along with him the dead body of the brother of the former, saying that he committed suicide. However, doubting the alleged ‘suicide’ and suspecting that the man who brought the body allegedly killed his elder brother, the accused Cheenu stabbed Sahil to death.

According to Aslam Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North west district, a Police Control Room (PCR) call was received at 3 :55 pm on Friday regarding the murder. “The police team rushed to the spot where victim Sahil, who is a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, was found lying in pool of blood. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead,” said the DCP.

“During our initial investigation it was revealed that Sahil along with his mother, father and one friend Jimmy had brought the body of 25 year-old Anurag to his brother Cheenu who lives in Sangam Park. Sahil had told Cheenu that his brother had committed suicide but Cheenu doubted. There was a scuffle between both following which Cheenu stabbed Sahil,” said the DCP.

“Anurag was living with Sahil for last few days. We have registered case under section 302 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the accused Sahil has been arrested. Further, the death of Anurag is being investigated by South district police,” said the DCP.
