IGT 8: Bigger and better

India’s Got Talent is back with Season 9 with fresh talent that will leave you in awe. Sangeeta Yadav brings you some amazing acts that will be showcased tonight on Colors

From the tricks of the great magician to the flexibility and stamina of the gymnasts and dancers to the melodious voice of singers and great artistry of performing arts. The immense talents on India’s Got Talent (IGT) Season 8 will amaze you and give you jaw dropping moment. The show is all about people coming on the stage — of all ages and diverse background — solely on the basis of their talent.

“The show is a beautiful amalgamation of so much of variety of performances by the artists from different walks of life. Watching all that will be is very entertaining and listening to their story about how they made it to the show will be inspiring as well. We already have a bunch mark of talent that we have with us. We are going a step forward with more energy and mindblowing talent in the most promising reality show,” Rithvik Dhanjani says.

Hosting for the first time with Bharti Singh, Dhanjani will leave no stone unturn to showcasing his talent and keep the entertainment quotient high. “I have to add certain flavour of my own as a host and we are trying different ways to bring a change on the platter. Beyond acting and dancing, you will be able to see a lot more of me. There are quite a few things that I indulge myself in,” Dhanjani says.

The three judges of the show — Malaika Arora, Karan Johar and Kirron Kher, who have been there since Season 1, are going to have a tough time to  choose. “Judging from a great magician to a great dancer is definitely going to be tough for the judge. They have been associated with IGT with the responsibility from past eight seasons,” Dhanjani opines.

The journey of the contestants to the show will not only inspire you but connect you on the emotional level as well. “As a host, we need to connect with the contestant to their emotions and story on a very human level. To feel the moment and help them bring out the best. To do good in that moment and the contestant that there is,” Dhanjani shares.

Top acts to watch out for

Outdoor Sway pole act

Talent knows no boundary, no limitations, no fears and hesitations. All it takes is passion, strong faith and determination to cross miles and touch the sky. One such person is Gunjan, who is literally crossing miles on the height of 65 feet through his sway pole act and free fall at IGT. His stage is his rope on which he walks and does the balancing in the middle of the air.

A gymnast by profession, Gunjan will give you a nail biting moment and leave you in awe through his daredevilry act. After being the contestant in IGT5 and Gunjan is back this season with bigger and better acts.

Soulful singing

Meet 13-year-old Shreyas from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, who despite suffering from Progeria -  a rare syndrome in children that leads to premature old age, he never stopped doing what he loves the most – Singing. It was his singing that brought him to the stage of IGT where he sang Kishore Kumar’s popular song Chaltechalte mere Geetyaadrakhna and touched the hearts of the three judges and live audience.

Bond of trust

They lift each other on their arms to 90 degrees and even do hand stand on the other person’s head without taking any support. The partner in crime and brothers Rahul and Mukesh are a perfect example of trust.

The act by the gymnastic brothers, which got the standing ovation by Karan Johar and Malaika Arora, will definitely surprise you.

Rangeela Rajasthan

Get set to groove on the tunes of Swagsthan, a singing band from Jaipur, who will sing a fusion on Kesariyabaalam, Swag se swagat and Pallu latke. Their power-packed performance got standing ovation from Kirron Kher and once more from the audience. Ravindra Upadhyay, one of the band’s singer, has sung songs in various films, like Talaash and Happy New Year.

It’s Magic

He will leave you in awe with his tricks. Magician and illusionist from Vishakahapatnam, BS Reddy will perform some never seen before magic acts what will be beyond reasoning and explanation.
