National President of All India SC/ST Adhikaar Parishad Indresh Gajbhiye has demanded that there should be a Dalit Chief Minister in Madhya Pradesh, as dalits are 40 per cent of the total population in the State.
While talking to media persons here on Saturday, Gajbhiye said that he had recently submitted a memorandum in this regard to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President Amit Shah. He further said that BJP has not taken any decision and to raise the demand with full strength seminar would be organized on October 14 in the state capital in which Chief Guest would be former union minister Sanghpriya Gautam and former IAS Vilfred Lakda along with supporters in huge number would be present. In the country BJP rules 21 states but unfortunately none has been assigned with a Chief Minister from Dalit community.
Madhya Pradesh owns 18 per cent of SC and 22 per cent of ST of the total population which is dejected and angry by the CM of the state Shivraj Singh Chouhan and not willing vote in his favour as CM Chouhan’s functioning is pro-upper caste and face of his government also reflects the same.
Providing the face of upper caste led government and organization eight names were pointed Governor of Madhy Pradesh Anandi Ben Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Home Minister Bhupendra Singh Thakur, Speaker of State Assembly Sitasharam Sharma, Chief Secretary BP Singh, DGP Rishhi Kumar Shukla, BJP State President Rakesh Singh and State Organisation General Secretary Suhash Bhagat.
The Brahmins and upper caste people took to the street in the state to oppose reservation for Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and CM Chouhan declared that before investigation and FIR no arrest would be made.
