Peaceful conduct of State Assembly Elections 2018 in the State is on the top most priority. The Madhya Pradesh police would conduct elections without any pressure and prejudice, said acting DGP Madhya Pradesh VK Singh while interacting with media after taking charge on Thursday.

Fair and free elections have to be conducted without any fear across the State and agencies involved in the organizing of elections would follow this, he added.

In the last elections 552 companies were deployed and this time 700 companies have been demanded for the State assembly elections.

At present 50 companies have reached the State capital for deployment in the elections and other arrangements for the elections are in the process of completion.

Police district headquarters across the state have been instructed to check illegal transport of liquor, distribution of money and anti-social elements and take immediate action to conduct elections properly.

Singh said that the working of police with respect to last state assembly elections is better which has been praised by election commission. The advance technology would help in conducting of peaceful elections.

The advance control room would keep eye on activities related to elections and strict vigil would be kept in social media and strict action would be taken on those found violating code of conduct.
