An 18-year-old boy was allegedly beaten to death in Kumhar Colony on Sunday.
A Police Control Room (PCR) call was received by Ranhola Police Station at around 9:30 pm regarding the murder of a youth outside his house in Kumhar Colony, police stated.
The deceased Munna Lal allegedly had a fight with one Sonu and Monu outside his house, where Munna was brutally beaten up.
After he fell unconscious, Munna’s family took him to Aashirwaad nursing home where he was declared brought dead, a senior police official stated.
According to police, the accused Sonu and Monu are brothers and own a dairy in the same locality as the deceased in Kumhar Colony. One of the accused Monu has been arrested.
An FIR under sections 302 (dealing with murder) and section 34 (dealing with act done by several persons with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was filed on the statement of the deceased’s father Ashok Kumar who was an eyewitness to the incident.
The deceased Munna has three brothers and three sisters and working at a shop in Uttam Nagar. His father works as a rickshaw puller. Further investigation is underway, police said.
