A 22-year-old married youth committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at his shanty near Mata Mandir square in the evening on Wednesday.
Police said that the deceased identified as Vineet Waghmare was found hanging and was declared dead when checked by doctor.
In the initial investigation police found that the deceased used to have frequent fights with his wife. At the time of the suicide his wife had gone to a nearby temple and family members have gone for work.
The deceased used to work with a private firm along with his father and brother.
The Investigating Officer ASI Ramsharan Meena said that the deceased used to have fights with his wife who is Maharashtra based and with whom he eloped earlier.
The family of wife lodged complaint and a case of kidnapping and sexual assault was registered by Maharashtra police and deceased was nabbed by police.
Later, when deceased was released the families agreed for marriage and he started to live with his wife near Mata Mandir square. The two used to have fights over petty issues, he added.
On Wednesday, at around 5:30 pm deceased committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling after having a fight with his wife.
Police were informed and on the receipt a police team rushed to the spot and started investigation.
Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC. The statements of the family members are yet to be recorded.
