3 die in different road accidents in Gwalior

In less than six hours three people died in different road accidents in Gwalior. The accidents occurred in the Morar, Tatipur and Jhansi Road areas of the city. After the accidents the police reached the spots and sent the bodies for post mortem.  According to the police speeding and rash driving were the main reasons for the accidents.

In the first incident, a speeding SUV mowed down two youths who were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony.  One of the victims, Sanjay, a resident of Ashok Colony died on the spot while the other, Sunil is in a critical condition.  According to police the accident was so horrendous that even the speeding car got overturned.  After the accident the driver of the car fled away from the spot. The police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the absconding driver.

In the second incident, a speeding ambulance rammed into a divider in high speed and overturned, killing a woman. The victim was identified as 24 year old Nidhi, a resident of Chhatrapur. She was being brought to Gwalior for treatment after she had been injured in a road accident in Chhatrapur.  The police reached the spot and sent the body for post mortem. The driver of the ambulance too is injured and is being treated in the government hospital.

In another incident in the Morar area a petroleum company employ was mowed down by a speeding car killing him instantaneously. The victim was identified as 43 year old Janved Singh, resident of Mohanpur. The Morar TI, Sudesh Tiwari reached the spot and sent the body for post mortem. A case has been registered in the Morar Police Station against unknown driver.

In another incident, a 24-year-old woman trainee constable has lodged a complaint against one Satendra Goswamy for raping her.  According to sources in the police the victim is undergoing training in the Rewa Police Training School. In her complaint the victim has alleged that she came in contact with the accused when she was preparing for the exams in Gwalior. When she returned to Gwalior on leave the accused took her to his home and raped her repeatedly. In the complaint she has alleged that the accused had made a video and was threatening to malign her.

Devendra Sigh Kushwaha, the CSP of Lashkar said that they are on the lookout for the accused who is absconding.
