36 new dengue cases reported

Surge of dengue in Uttarakhand continues unabated as 36 new cases of the vector-borne disease have been reported by the State Health Department on Tuesday. The number of persons afflicted by dengue this season has now mounted up to 368.

On Tuesday, 11 patients of the disease have been reported by the State health department from Dehradun and Haridwar districts. The district-wise tally of dengue in the State has Haridwar district in the lead with 140 patients so far being found positive in Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay ( ELISA) test.

In Dehradun district, 93 cases of dengue have been reported while 75 patients have been identified in Tehri Garhwal district.
