A 60-year old woman was robbed of her gold chain worth Rs 50,000 near Puspanjali hospital under Shahpura police station area late in the evening on Tuesday.
Police said the victim Kusumlata Dwivedi was relieved of her gold chain while she had gone for a walk along with her daughter after dinner.
The incident took place at around 9 pm when the victim had gone for a walk and while she and her daughter reached near Pushpanjali hospital she was attacked by two bike borne miscreants from behind and escaped with gold chain.
The victim approached Shahpura police and lodged a complaint.
In her complaint the victim stated that she had gone for a walk and was attacked by two bike borne miscreants who were on a black coloured motorbike. Shocked with the attack victim raised alarm but the miscreants managed to escape. Victim is a resident of Vikas Kunj.
The police have registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Based on the details provided by the victim, the police have started search for the miscreants.
Police said that the victim escaped unhurt and was not able to notice the details of the vehicle like registration number and make of the bike due to low light.
The only detail she was able to provide was the helmet which the riding of bike was wearing was provided by the victim. During the investigation nearby installed CCTV cameras would be investigation which would help in the investigation.
